When my wife and I felt led by the Lord to plant a church, one of the first questions was, “What are we going to name it?” We wanted our name to be descriptive of our vision for the church. I woke up one morning with the word “vital” in my spirit. I looked it up and found that it has two primary definitions – “full of life” and “indispensable”. Immediately we knew that those were two characteristics we wanted our church to embody – a community so overflowing with the life, the power, and the presence of God that people would be compelled to make it essential to their lives. When we realized that “vital” is spelled the same in English and Spanish, it was confirmation.

Our vision was always to be a bilingual ministry. By the grace of God, today we can say “mission accomplished.”
